Looking for a trusted community provider for counselling or psychotherapy student placements? Unmasked Mental Health works with colleges and universities to offer structured, supervised placements within a busy mental health service in Halifax.

With up to 50 student counsellors on placement at any one time and as many as 155 counselling sessions delivered each week, education partners gain a high-quality placement setting that complements formal training and helps develop safe, ethical and confident practitioners.

We welcome conversations with counselling course leaders and placement coordinators who are seeking a reliable placement partner for Level 4–7 students ready to begin supervised client work.

What colleges and universities can expect

A successful placement needs close collaboration between the student, education provider, supervisor and placement team. Our counselling coordinators maintain appropriate communication throughout, helping students meet professional standards and receive the support they need to develop safely.
