Community Fundraiser
Support fundraising events and collection boxes across Calderdale in a flexible role that fits around your other commitments.

Our Community Fundraisers help raise vital funds and increase awareness of Unmasked Mental Health throughout Calderdale. It is a flexible role that can fit around your existing commitments, with opportunities to help regularly or at occasional events.
There are two main ways you can support us as a Community Fundraiser.
Supporting community events
Throughout the year, we organise and attend a variety of fundraising events, including charity balls, gala dinners, sponsored walks and community activities. Our volunteers help everything run smoothly and create a welcoming experience for our guests and supporters.
Depending on the event, you may help with:
- Welcoming guests and attendees
- Setting up and clearing away
- Selling raffle tickets or fundraising items
- Collecting donations
- Helping with registration
- Supporting activities during the event
- Representing Unmasked Mental Health within the community
Managing community collection boxes
We also need volunteers to help distribute and collect our charity collection boxes from pubs, shops, restaurants and other venues across Calderdale.
This may involve spending an afternoon delivering collection boxes to several venues, then returning around a month later to collect the filled boxes and replace them with new ones. Volunteers can also approach suitable local businesses and ask whether they would be willing to display an Unmasked Mental Health collection box.
You will receive clear guidance on recording the location of each box and returning collected donations safely to our team.
This could be the perfect volunteering opportunity if you:
- Are friendly, approachable and enthusiastic
- Enjoy meeting people and being part of community events
- Are comfortable approaching local businesses
- Are reliable and able to follow agreed procedures
- Can confidently represent Unmasked Mental Health
- Would like a flexible volunteering role without a weekly commitment
You can choose to help at events, manage collection boxes or get involved in both. Every hour you give will help us raise funds to continue providing vital mental health support across Calderdale.
