Structured counselling placements for University of Salford students training with Unmasked Mental Health.
Unmasked Mental Health provides structured, supportive counselling placements for students working towards qualifications from Level 4 to Level 7.
We work with University of Salford to offer supervised client work within a busy community counselling service in Halifax, helping student counsellors build ethical, confident practice while expanding access to mental health support.
With up to 50 student counsellors on placement at any one time and as many as 155 counselling sessions delivered each week, trainees gain real experience in a professional service setting.

Who these placements are for
Our placements suit University of Salford students studying counselling or psychotherapy at Level 4–7 who have been approved by their education provider as ready to begin supervised client work.
We look for students who are:

How to apply for a counselling placement

As part of the application process, we will:
